REFUND POLICY

1. Refund Policy

1.1. Hanatutor provides online language lessons (also referred to as “classes” “lessons”, or “sessions”) through, but not limited to, virtual video communication platforms, HanaTutor App, and this platform.

1.2. We may make use of third-party online communications platforms for our classes. Any such undertaking does not make the third party a party to the agreement between Hanatutor and the user. Hanatutor will acquire any usage rights and licenses from any third-party service provider.

1.3. Hanatutor will not be penalised or held liable for any damage or inconvenience incurred by the lack of a certain language offering on our platform. The availability of a certain language on our platform is informed by many factors, including, the availability of tutors for that language, a reasonable number of prospective learner requests for that language, and any other resources we may need to offer that language.

1.4. All our lessons are offered online and Hanatutor or any tutor subscribed to HanaTutor will never request a student for a physical lesson.

1.5. Our lessons are subject to the availability of tutors and Hanatutor does not guarantee that any tutor will be available at any desired time.

1.6 The user acknowledges that to be part of the lessons, you will need a suitable computer with appropriate software and Apps. You agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have all the electronic tools you need to access the lesson.

1.7. The user agrees not to share, broadcast, or distribute the lesson with any third party or on other media platforms.

1.8. If the user continuously fails to attend lessons without reasonable explanations, warnings can be sent to that user and if no changes are done, HanaTutor will be forced to suspend or terminate that user’s account.

1.9. HanaTutor will not offer refunds nor compensation for missed classes or failure to book classes on time.

1.10. The user is entitled to cancel a booked lesson 12 hours before the booked time through the method provided on the platform, failure to adhere to the stipulated time will result in the user forfeiting his/her rights to a refund or compensation.

1.11. HanaTutor has the right to cancel any lesson if a tutor is unable to attend the lesson based on reasonable circumstances. We will be liable to assist the student book another class and to pay a refund should this be required.

1.12. HanaTutor has the right to cancel any class based on a reasonable belief that continuing the class can be harmful to any user or unlawful in any way, including any reasonable circumstances without having to explain the decision.

1.13. No cash refunds shall be made. Hanatutor will only pay refunds into the account held by the name of the student requesting the refund or the account of the person who made the payment.

1.14. Any charges that Hanatutor may incur to process the refund can be deducted from the amount paid according to the law.

1.15. A refund request will be processed and completed within 30 business days upon receipt of such request.

1.16. Refunds will be processed according to the refund summary table below. For domestic transactions, refunds are made in full as required by the Fair Trade Commission and the Private Institute Act. For international transactions (via PayPal, Stripe, or other payment gateways), refunds will be made after deducting actual payment gateway fees and currency conversion charges, as such costs are non-refundable by the payment processor.
